  2. Kurt Hendrickson’s avatar

I would like more camping and fishing information

  3. Jeff Higgins’s avatar

I would be interested in classic car shows being held in wisconsin

  4. Doreen’s avatar

I would like more of Northern Wisconsin added to the site. I realize that more happens in the southern part of the state but there are some nice places in the northern half of the state. Thank you!

Keep servicing the entire state, maybe divide the state up into 4 or 5 areas and do a feature on each area once or twice a month and not every inn or place to stay has food available also include great places to dine. But keep up the good work I enjoy and use the web site

In addition to listing accomodations at various hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts, resorts, campsites, etc., it would be helpful to include a listing of area events (fairs, festivals, art shows, theatre, etc.).

Also, since most hotels and motels, as well as many campsites, resorts, and B&Bs offer a AAA or AARP discount, a listing of percentage discount for members would be helpful.

If you’ve ever seen a “TourBook” or “CampBook” offered by AAA (FREE for members–I get a new one every year), the format they use for communities is great. They list each city alphabetically, with different points of interest in that community. In the back, they again list each city alphabetically and list the different hotels, motels, and restaurants, along with their accomodations (pool, computer, whether they allow pets, price, AAA discount). For the restaurants, they list local restaurants (not chains) and have their menu type, dress code, payments accepted, and AAA discount. It is really a handy tool!

As campers, we love to find new and interesting places to camp. We’ve found that there are many county parks that are little known beyond the locals, but are truly natural treasures. Features on those along with nearby attractions would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of years ago, we were looking for a place that horseback trail rides. I was really pretty difficult to find any information. Do you think you could offer information for this family event? Maybe even a place to find coupons….? Thanks so much your work!

I like to see more about great camping areas in wisconsin
    and weekend getaways,with discounts.
you’re blog is excellent in my opinion.

  10. Lisa’s avatar

I would like to see a section for “gal get-aways”, maybe spas or areas that women would enjoy

  11. Carolyn’s avatar

I love this site. I would like more information on special or discounted deals, especially for families. We enjoy going to family-owned establishments and look for out-of-the-way non-touristy places to visit. Also, if there could be links to the CVB’s in the local communities, it would be helpful to plan trips and things to do.

The information from your blogs on family friendly places to visit are great. This really is useful for new vacation ideas…..I’ve read about some new places we’d like to try just by reading some people’s comments in your blog! Keep up the great work!!

I would like to know about any festivals that are going on and any deals that local hotels or businesses might have to go along with them. Family deals and exciting things for teenagers are a plus!!!

  14. Frank Reischl’s avatar

My wife and I enjoy touring micro-breweries, brew pubs, and wineries in Wisconsin. More info on events at these places would be great!

  15. Katie’s avatar

I would definitely like more info on all of the wonderful wineries in the state. Also I would love to hear about historic hotels around the state. I’ve always wanted to do a tour of the state most historic hotels and attractions.

  16. Kristin Cunningham’s avatar

I’d like to see the blog showcase food events and/or restaurants. Perhaps a Wisconsin version of Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives. (Maybe: Supper Clubs, Fish Frys & Greasy Spoons…). My favorite part of traveling is eating out. I often pick where to stay based on where I plan on eating!

  17. Anne’s avatar

I would love to see as many area events throughout the year updated and relish knowing of any hidden treasures or gems in the state from natural to unnatural curiosities. Anything that shares deals, coupons and travel tips is welcome.

  18. valery meyer’s avatar

Not sure if you were allowing more than one blog, but the othere thing that would be great is a link system to special deals from your site or some sort of more specialized search for local deals on lodging

  19. Sue Brandes’s avatar

I would interested in more camping or cabins. And shopping or museums or zoos to see.

  20. Charlotte’s avatar

I would love to see more about wonderful antique shops and towns that contain antique shops. I would love to know what is unusual and work the drive. I would love links that we would be able to pull together our own daytrip.

  21. PAT’s avatar

My goal is to travel around the state as I have not been to copper country or the far northwest and southwest and places in between…to experience the diversity and the familiarity of this great state, Wisconsin

  22. Robyn Allen’s avatar

I just got back in town this morning so missed the cut off but~I think this is a great website! I have always thought we have the best state ever! In resent years we have traveled by car to many surrounding states and at the end of the drive are glad to be home. Your website has invited us into towns and experiences we wouldn’t even have thought of.

Kudos to your staff and the great job you are doing.

  23. Diana S.’s avatar

Would love to see girl’s getaway weekend suggestions, along with listing of local wineries.

  24. Pat J.’s avatar

I love the listings for festivals. I’ve traveled to areas of the state that I wouldn’t have know about and have enjoyed every trip I made!

  25. Debbie H’s avatar

We recently sold our cabin in northern Wisconsin and now enjoy renting ca ins and smaller motel rooms. This allows us to continue visiting the northwoods we so enjoy and fishing the many lakes there. Would be nice to have a featured area, the lakefront cabins available. Most important to us “if they allow pets”. Also great restaurants in each area would be helpful.
I think it would also be a great idea for resorts to offer specials that we would not easily know about.

  26. Ruth C’s avatar

Would like to see more about things for seniors, special things to do , disounts, things like that. We love weekends away (I know, as seniors what are we gettting away from?) Even though we are older, we still like to explore new things. More senior specials would be nice.

I would like to see and read more about the state parks Wisconsin has to offer. Me and my husband stumbled upon governor dodge state park where there is a waterfall, we have never heard about this beautiful place, nor read anywhere about it.

I would love to enjoy a get away with my family .. We have never taken along vacation as a family for at least 10 years.. this would just be wonderful

With the economy today it sure is nice to see so many resorts participating in a very generous offer for a little stress relief at their place. I love Wisconsin!!! I really enjoy looking at the various resorts and planning my next vacations. I can look up different counties and make mini trips all year long. I can plan my visits to coincide with festivals, breweries, wineries, etc. It makes it easy to get away and enjoy Wisconsin.
