Summerfest, Milwaukee 

June 28-July 2, CLOSED JULY 3, then keep rocking July 4-9.

For 11 days every summer, the Worlds Largest Music Festival takes place at Henry Maier Festival park! This year marks the 50th year of Summerfest on the lakefront with 800 acts playing on 11 stages. Over 45  local vendors will be supplying food and beverages through out the festival. The Northwestern Mutual Children’s Theater & PlayZone features activities, dance groups, magicians and more to keep  kids all day. Shop at the unique vendors, ride on the Sky Glide or listen to local and emerging artist before the headlines start at 8 and 10PM.

Riverfront Rendezvous, Stevens Point

June 30-July 2

Check out this  is an annual festival at Pioneer Park in Stevens Point. Enjoy music at one of the multiple stages starting Friday night at 7:15. Activities include the Carp Classic Fishing Contest, Horseshoe Tournaments, BINGO and more. Kids will enjoy a variety of shows and activities too. The festival wraps up with the Lighted Boat Parade and fireworks on Sunday.

Northwoods Blues Festival, Chippewa Falls

June 30-July 1

Kick off your summer with the annual Northwoods Blues Festival  at the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds in Chippewa Falls. National and regional bands will perform during the 2 day festival. Check out the website for the complete lineup. The best party in the Great North Woods.

Booster Days, Hudson

June 29-July 2

Booster Days is the annual 4th of July Celebration held in Lakefront Park, near historic downtown Hudson, along the scenic St Croix River.  This event draws crowds from Hudson and surrounding counties, with activities for all ages such as a fishing contest, carnival rides, and multiple bands in the Hudson band shell each night.

Fly-in & Float-in Lake Rattle & Roll, Phillips

June 30-July 1

Come by car, boat or plane and watch planes fly in and the Aerobatic show at the Price County Airport, plus view planes on display. Located on Long Lake, Harbor View Pub & Eatery is offering a breakfast buffet Saturday morning – dining with a view, either inside or outside on the deck and watch the planes fly in. Stop back at Harbor View in the evening and watch the live band perform outside on the deck under the stars.

Strawberry Fest, Cedarburg

Celebrate Cedarburg’s 32nd Annual Strawberry Festival, Saturday, June 24  and Sunday, June 25. This free, family-oriented festival is a favorite of many, drawing up to 100,000 people annually. Vendors will be selling  Strawberry Brats, Strawberry Shortcake and Strawberry Chicken Wraps, and strawberries by the quart. Event kicks off with a run on Saturday morning. Enjoy music, art and activities throughout the festival or stop by the Sunday morning all-you-can-eat “Strawberry Pancake Breakfast,” 8am-11am, at Cedar Creek Settlement.

Shake the Lake, Madison

Start the the Independence Day celebrations early at Shake the Lake – a community-focused summertime festival in Madison, Wisconsin. To help make sure that all travelers interested in coming to the Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary celebration August 29 – September 3, 2013 are able, travelers now have a new and free resource to find lodging up to two hours away. The Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association is hosting a page at www.WisconsinLodging.org/Harley where travelers can browse available lodging by distance from the festivities, in 15-minute driving time increments and book directly online or call for reservations. With reservations and cancellations changing availability each week, all participating properties will verify their availability weekly. Each Thursday through August 29, the page will be updated to reflect the latest status.

“There are still lodging options available for those who want to come to Wisconsin and celebrate the Harley-Davidson tradition in Milwaukee,” said Trisha Pugal, WH&LA President/CEO. “We hope to connect those travelers with rooms that best fit their needs, whether they stay 15 minutes away or even 2 hours away. What better way to experience more of what the Milwaukee area and other nearby areas have to offer than touring by motorcycle?”
